As someone who's gone to Matteo's on LI my whole life +100 times, I was shocked to see such a low rating... Until I tried to call in an order and was told they were "too busy" to take a pick up order. Weird, ok, fine. I called the next night to make a reservation, after waiting on hold twice for +10 minutes, then being hung up on, I've come to the conclusion they deserve their terrible rating.

Our waiter was lovely (young man)and that’s the only reason to give 2 stars. The waiters around him were absolutely RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL and the host was also not friendly. When a customer complained his food was cold the waiter told him “no it’s really not but we will make you another” and stormed away. If you complained about anything you were talked about behind your back in front of other customers. For the price of the food the atmosphere is not it. Won’t be back.
