This place rules. I prefer the Chicago Dog and NY Dog for hot dogs. This beats the Costco dog so bad, you'll never eat there again.And the burger and fries are rad also. The fries are perfect, crisp sticks of heaven, and the burger is just the right size - just small enough to avoid gut bomb hell.

The Matt's Famous Chili Dogs opened during my senior year at Cal. I probably ate a bock wurst with mustard and sauerkraut every day until graduation. That was years ago, but I will still drive 20 miles to Berkeley when I get the craving. I've always loved the low key but hip service.
