The food was great for lunch. I had chicken pho and pork/shrimp spring rolls.I finished my meal and the waitress told me the lady at the table next to me paid for my meal before she left.I immediately called my wife to let her know to watch out because apparently I'm hot stuff. It was either that or the lady thought I was homeless. Probably the latter.

I recently moved not too far from The May Cafe and finally got around to stopping in for a bite. The May Cafe is located in an older somewhat run down small shopping center. The interior space of the restaurant feels a bit dated but was spacious and clean. I started off with the pork and shrimp Vietnamese spring rolls. They were absolutely lovely and had a bit of an unexpected spicy kick to them. For my entree, I had the Beef Basil. Yes, I realize that is a Thai dish, but when I saw it on the menu, I veered off course because it is one of my favorite dishes. It was just about perfect. Nice and spicy. I've sampled this dish in many a restaurant and The May Cafe's version was on par with the very best I have...
