Mein in Houston

This such a long overdue review. This is my go to place for comfort, family Cantonese food. I usually order: - Charsiu (5/5): The meat is juicy and perfectly cook. It comes with some Choy Sum green veggies and mustard dipping sauce. - Sansai Egg Tofu (5/5): This comes with 5 round thick pieces of tofu with a delicious sauce with mushroom. All of these pair so well with rice. I have tried some of their other dishes, and it has not disappoint. The food is on always on point every time I go. I love how there is a large variety of appetizers, pork, beef, chicken, duck, seafood, noodles soups, rice, vegetable dishes. So many dishes, so many to choose from! The service is wonderful. Overall, that's why I have continuously been back. This place is a hit in my books!! If you haven't try this place, what are you waiting for??

Was there for brunch, really love the food. Tasted very authentic like what I'm used to, the wonton noodle soup were great as well. The portion was huge!! The char siew, fried rice, fried egg tofu were all great. We were too hungry and I managed to snap a pic of my food only...not the rest of the people's!

Came to Mein as wanted some Cantonese Chinese food while visiting Houston. Stopped by on an early Saturday evening and luckily it was only about 50% full around 6:00p. Service was extremely fast and efficient from the time walked in the door, during the meal, and as they cleaned each table. Everything looked so good on the menu, but settled on the Red Oil Dumplings for an appetizer, followed by the HK Wonton Noodle Soup, and the Crispy Egg Noodle. Appetizer came out within 5 minutes and the meals within 10 minutes. Although the food came out right away, there was no doubt this was freshly made to order.I can't even begi...
