Mellow Mushroom Richmond - Carytown in Richmond

First ordered the stuffed portobello, that I read from the menu, only to be told it was no longer on the menu! Frustrating! Then ordered the holy shitake on a gluten free crust with vegan cheese, I was hungry and it was pretty tasty!

Food was ok. This location is ok for the carytown vibe but its a downgrade compared to the other locations. Service was ok but could have been better. My order came out wrong and i just kept it. Servers dont wear mask just in case anyone wants to know! #backup

My wife and I had the pleasure of having an early dinner with the kids at Mellow Mushroom on Cary St. in Richmond. This is the second time we've been to this location and we were equally blown away by the food, service, and atmosphere!The guys (and ladies) in the back making pizza and pretzels had a few young admirers standing on seats to get a good luck at how everything is put together and they did it with a smile. They interacted with the kids and made them feel exceptionally welcome. You can tell they take a lot of pride in their work and it showed in so many ways today.Our server (Emily) was fantastic. She was patient with us as we tried to figure out which style pizza we were going to go with. She suggested the "Thai Dye" and we went with it since we were in an adventurous mood. When the pizza arrived we couldn't wait to dig in and the Thai pizza was out of this world and I will definitely order it again.Before we left I asked for the Manager (Danette) and explained to her how great our visit was and the specific reasons why it was so great. She was thrilled to hear the raving review and told us that she couldn't wait to see us again soon.
