We love Metro 29. My fiancé grew up in the area and enjoyed it with his family. When we first started dating we decided to visit for Valentine’s Day. Yesterday, nearly 4 years later and after both of us having busy work days, we decided to re-create our first Valentine’s date and came back to Metro 29 for more. Our waitress, (I wish we had gotten her name to mention here and properly give her kudos) she was so kind, friendly and attentive. She even offered to take take a few pictures of us. It was a nice, quiet, not overcrowded evening and we wouldn’t have had it any other way. Thanks Metro 29! And we can’t get enough of the French Toast & Matzah Ball Soup! So good

I used to come here on a semi-regular basis for breakfast and brunch. If you get nothing else, get the home fries. They are the best I've had anywhere and come with any of the regular breakfast items. My mom and I both love the greek omelette--lots of spinach, tomato, and feta, but somehow it never comes out soggy. While the prices are a bit higher than what you'd expect from a place called Metro 29 Diner, the portions are massive enough to justify them. Coffee is bottomless and the service is always very good. Come hungry and with reasonable expectations for a diner and you'll leave happy.
