Mi Casa Mexicana in Anaheim

Had a coupon received from a local hotel I'm staying in for a Family Special for $29.99. It's from a publication of dining locations dated Winter/Spring 2022. I called to order and was told that special is now $49.99. I thought I misheard the guy on the phone - so I said again, I had a coupon for the $29.99 family special. He again said that special is now $49.99. I asked again, so the special coupon is now $20 more? His reply was Yes. I hung up and ordered somewhere else. Not like it was an expired coupon-the coupon was just published and they still refused to honor it.

The food is lacking in flavor. Everything tastes like it came out of a can. I got the tamale plate, my sister got the enchiladas plate, and my friend got the nachos plate. The only decent tasting part of our meal was the aguas: horchata and agua de melón. We paid $70 in total which is outrageous in my opinion, but I get it, they cater towards the Disneyland-goers. I just moved nearby and I would not come here again.

This place had great food, service was good considering we swamped the whole location with our party of 16, including 8 14 yr old boys and 8 hungry, thirsty adults who walked from the Hilton for dinner and drinks! My reason for 4 stars and not 5 stars is only because the chips and salsa took sooooo long to get on the table while waiting to order, half of the group wanted to get up and leave but we talked them off the ledge and in the long run, it was worth it. If they would have brought chips and salsa right away, the hunger would have gone away and the group would have been happier to wait for drinks and dinner order. In the end, the whole bill was gone through by seperate parties going up, telling the waitress what they ordered, paid for that all individually and at the end, all was paid for and eliminated from the ticket.
