Mimi's Cafe in Antioch

Walked in was immediately greeted. Within a few minutes we were seated in a booth, as requested. The waiter immediately greeted us and took our drink orders. We then proceeded by ordering the brioche French toast and the ham and Swiss crêpes... drinks were and food were great..... the service was excellent.  A big Thanks to the workers and the new management.

I have a lot of experience with this Mimi's Cafe.  In the past I have not had much complaints about the service and the food was typically worth the price.  This time around I was not so lucky.  This location may be going downhill as I have noticed this restaurant never busy.  Knowing this we actually decided to eat here because another restaurant was an hour wait. Now to my actual experience at her restaurant.  The service was extremely poor and the food took a very long time to arrive especially for how many people were in the restaurant.  I counted 4 people waiting and there was three tables with our table being the most (5) people.  Phenomenal ratio for waiters to serve with ease... not this time.  We had to ask for literally everything from refills to more bread for our appetizer.  We are patient people but I would say we waited 15 minutes with glasses empty around the whole table and not a word from the waitress.  When she brought out the kids refills there was no missing my empty glass nor my wifes... but 5 minutes later there we were asking for our refills.  So you read that right... just for refills it past 20 minutes and our entree was not out yet.  I would say it was 40 minutes to getting our food in partitions... no condiments, had to ask, no salt or pepper, had to ask, and not once did I hear "can I get you anything" from the waitress.  All this wonderful experience and I only had to pay twice as much as any other restaurant!!!! What a treat... if they did not have their sign up I may have...
