I'm a big ice cream fanatic but it's been hard for me to understand the appeal here. I heavily respect that Molly Moon's will not allow you to tip though because they believe their workers deserve fair compensation without relying on tips. However, that's probably responsible for the higher prices here. Definitely more on the overpriced range and feels overhyped to me, maybe I haven't discovered the perfect flavor though. I've been multiple times and it's not a bad experience or anything, just feels pretty average and pricey. I do like that they have seasonal rotating flavors but I think Salt & Straw does it better. Location is definitely an advantage to Molly Moon's but if you can commute a bit, Salt & Straw is better. Opted for the flight one time - they're preset flavors but you the whole point is for you to sample a variety of flavors not get insane value. However, the vegan ice cream here made me scared of all vegan ice cream options until I tried Frankie & Jos (shoutout to them). What a cute little place. The first time i passed by my friend said we should've gone in since there was no line. 10 min later when we came back, there was a line out the door! On a rainy day! Got to the front of the line and the employees were so helpful. They mentioned that all their scoops are about the size of a baseball. Which is a perfect serving size for me! Will definitely be going back
