Oh Monkey King at the Brewery, please go back to how good you were before the expansion! This would be 2 1/2 star review if I could, because the food I've gotten has been mostly good and memorable. But the move to the larger space adjacent to Alameda Brewing and their old alley spot has really impacted food, customer service, and your experience. I get that they are the go to spot for carbs when you've been drinking next door. This was true even before their expansion. But before, they seemed to welcome and appreciate your business. Now it's just a churn and burn business trying to grind as many orders through as possible without the pleasantries. With online ordering/takeout plus the crush of bodies from the brewery, it's just a long wait in a disorganized huddle of a line just to place your order. And then you are processed without so much as a "Hello" or "Thanks." I loved their kimchi fried rice where you actually got some wok hay on your rice and SPAM. And if you ordered tots, they were crispy. Not so much these days. Just fast fried rice and greasy tots. Just a shame to see a great place lose its magic.
