Excellent steak, but inflation. Definitely has taken its toll. Steak is just about getting out of reach price wise

Party of 8, business partners and spouses. I chose Morton's and it was my first time ever dining at a Morton's although we've been to the Charthouse in Annapolis so I'm familiar with the restaurant group. The evening started off strong with delicious cocktails, wine, appetizers and salads then it was an hour before we got our steaks, 2 of 8 had to be sent back (one was ice cold and the other was very rare instead of medium). Luckily the two bad steaks were my wife and mine and not my friends. The ice cold steak got tossed into the salamander where it went from the requested med rare to well done before being brought back to the table. The staff then stole a steak going out to someone else's table to try to rectify the under cooked steak only to find that the new steak was actually raw. Atleast the other table was spared that steak I guess. The manager and server were very nice and brought us a cocktail but we were in no mood to wait another hour for our steaks. Which we should have because it took another hour for our dessert to arrive (2.5 hours after we ordered the famous chocolate cake). We weren't offered any additional wine, we refilled our own water, grabbed our on pepper and essentially served ourselves for last 90 minutes. I can't tell you how excited I was to branch out and try a new steakhouse but instead I got a 3+ hour, entree-less meal filled with disappointment. Back to Lewnes and Capital Grill I go...
