Napa Udon House in Houston

This is so far the best curry udon in Houston. They make the noodle fresh at the restaurant. We love their curry based udon! My favorite always go with beef udon or butaniku udon (with fried tonkatsu). The size is perfect actually if you do not order any side dish. We normally order tempura shrimp and vegetables kakiage and spring rolls. They have live music in the weekend. The place is very nice to have a party too or just a simple hangout with friends.

I'm sad to say I've only been here twice! From the tempura's crispness and the fresh udons bounce to the yakitori's nice smoky flavor I would recommend everything if I could. Not only is the food quality amazing the portions are great as well.I really hope that in the near future this establishment can open up again because it is sad to see such a gem close down.

I love Napa Udon House. My husband and I are loyal customers and we come here very often to support local business, to eat delicious udon, and to enjoy the fried tempura. Back when I first wrote this review, it was not busy back then. They had the fried foods out for customers to see and think about what they want, and the food was quick to order and eat. The noodles here are definitely fresh, the soup is high quality and delicious, making it worth the wait if I ever had to wait. After COVID, I noticed that the quality is the same, but what has dropped is productivity, while wait time had increased significantly. Recently, any time we eat at this restaurant, rather than being immediately able to order, you enter the restaurant and are given a wait time. 15 minutes. No big deal right? But, soon 15 becomes 30 minutes, and so on and you still haven't been able to just place an order. Imagin...
