I really love that they have dairy free options. Even better that they have a turmeric/honey blend. Owner is very nice. Everything is clean. There are fun toys for the kids and board games/activities for adults. We'll definitely come back!

Ok I was a little iffy when my kid invited me out for dessert date to this place... but given that my adult child has a life-threatening allergy to milk, it certainly seemed like a fair request to go to the only place in Anchorage that offers a robust selection of dairy-free frozen dessert options. I landed at NYS late on a Friday night. I was hoping to grab a sweet treat at Yak and Yeti, but it was closed, and the lights were beaming out of NYS..... so I went for it. There were maybe 8 or so yogurt flavors available, with a major positive being that 3 of them were dairy-free. 9/10 times I can't enjoy a frozen confection along with my family due to a complete intolerance for sugars of the lactose variety, so it's kinda great when I find a place that offers dairy-free options. I tried all of them: pumpkin spice, tahini, chocolate. I was pleasantly surprised by the tahini. It was rich and bordering on savory, but quite delicious. The pumpkin spice was an absolute pallet wrecker. The spice was completely overwhelming. I used the chocolate to rinse down my mucous membranes post pumpkin. The space seemed cavernous and a bit strange considering how little space is needed for some yogurt spigots and topping bowls. I think this business would feel more appropriate in a cozier setting. All in all, I would probably stop by if the occasion arose spontaneously, but I don't think I would make a special trip to come here.
