Abita Springs Cafe in Abita Springs

Really good food and I can honestly say that almost the entire menu sounded delicious and the items we had were very good - we ordered from the appetizer, kids, breakfast, and dinner menus within our party.That being said they did try to upcharge us on an item that was not listed that way on the kids menu and when I brought it up they initially tried to shrug it off. We stopped in with our 3 young kids (with 2 being old enough to eat), obviously, ordered from the kids menu that clearly states all items (and listed/included sides) are $6 unless you are an adult ordering from the kids menu which then there is a $2 upcharge. Great breakfast! Outstanding coffee selection

We just moved here few months ago  from different state, would love to try local restaurants. We tried Abita brew pub and Mama D'S  except from the Abita springs Cafe, so I said to my husband that I would like to go to try it out. Went there round 1:00 pm, the place is not busy at all. We walked in and the server said we can just seat ourselves anywhere we wanted. After seating there for 10 minutes a server finally comes out, I taught she will at least acknowledge us but never did. Another server took an order from the couple beside our table and didn't even check on us if someone is helping us already since we don't have menus yet. My son 8 years old said that he is so hungry, so I said just wait a lil bit more.  A couple walked in and sat to another table, guess what after 2 minutes someone came out and greeted them right away and got them some drinks. And guess what??? She didn't say anything to us again...  after seating there for 15 minutes, we decided to leave and go to Abita brew Pub. Guess what???? As soon as we sat down someone greeted us right away. And got our drink orders and appetizers...
