The lineage of this place speaks for itself with Hugo's and Caracol part of that. Food is good service is also okay. Gazpacho is fabulous; best I've had in Houston. Make a reservation for brunch or you winger in. It's a "go to".

Backstreet Cafe is one of the best kept secrets in Houston. My goodness the shrimp&grits is unmatched. Everything on the menu is amazing! Cozy and romantic atmosphere, great drinks, friendly service...love it.
