Delicious...I had stuffed French toast w/scrapple...my baby had blueberry pancakes, hash browns cooked hard, and bacon...service from beginning to end was superb

Bonnet Lane Family Restaurant is a long standing urban diner on Old York Road, Abington, PA. The space is separated into two rooms; a dining room and another with counter service and a few booths. I chose a spinner at the counter nearest the kitchen swinging door where I could see the work area within when the door opened. Service was provided by a crew of dear ladies who addressed me as, "Dear," throughout my stay. Lovely, efficient and culturally affected. I didn't mind as long as they filled my coffee mug as needed. Their menu was most the usual suspects, with daily specials on a separate A-frame in thick plastic on the counter and tables. I went with the Greek Omelette, with the home fries inside the egg shell (That's just the way I like it.) Rye toast finished the platter. Loved the way all the flavors ran together, with the feta cheese offering the sharpest retort and the potatoes the most texture. The tomato, onion and spinach nicely occupied the middle ground between these two edges, while the crisp rye complimented the eggs with its mild savoriness. I was in a groove with the meal feeling content and nourished. As I sat finishing my coffee, the kitchen door swung open and I saw two kitchen people prepping food without gloves. I didn't know if this was standard practice or just a solitary slip of their more rigorous cleanliness routine, but in the Age of Coronavirus such oversight is not just unacceptable, it's downright dangerous. Please guys, caution and public health requires constant vigilance. Minus 1 Star for unsanitary conditions.
