After spending an extended weekend getaway at Olympic National Park, I had just left the Ruby Beach area of the peninsula and driven about 80 miles to here in Aberdeen, WA...this being one of the first major cities/towns I had come upon in sort of getting back to civilization. I was pretty hungry for dinner and was kind of craving some comforting Chinese food especially after hanging outside in the blustery and windy conditions over my final day at Olympic NP. I just wanted a simple, homely and casual place to grab a relaxing dinner. So...I Googled restaurants in Aberdeen that were open for dine-in during the pandemic and I came across this, Chinese Village. For a Sunday evening back over the summertime around 6pm, the restaurant was pretty deserted. I was questioning if they were even open as the parking lot had no cars in it. Oh well, here goes...I went inside to give this place a try. I was warmly welcomed and got seated right away. Obviously almost every table was empty and my initial impression was that they were unoccupied for a reason. But it's okay...how bad can they really mess up Chinese food? I ordered hot tea to start with before looking over the menu. Basically Chinese Village had everything on the menu you could ask for. Like most diners would do, I saw the Combination Dinners and simply chose one of those. For just 1 person (like myself) dining...they had 4 choices o...
