Cool Basil Altoona. Each time I visit Cool Basil I am more and more disappointed. My husband and I had sushi tonight. The rice was very over cooked (looked like mashed potatoes) and the tuna did not taste like it should. The sushi maker was texting on his phone then handling raw fish. The island in the middle of the sushi bar had raw fish sitting there for a long period of time. I think it was left overs from previous sushi that was prepped. I didn't care to see that. We ordered two glasses of red wine. The bottles had been opened for a long period of time. They did replace the bad glasses of wine. Here's the deal Altoona restaurants... Guess what... In about a year and a half you are going to have competition. You might want to consider meeting the basics to even compete with the new restaurants in town. Good luck!
