Drifters Kitchen and Bar in Ridge

first time here today, the place lives up to the great reviews!!!my wife had the Calamari app. that was huge and cooked just right not oily or fishy. I had the boneless short ribs that must have been cooked 12 hours. They were very good and melted in the mouth. Both orders came with very ample amounts of food. Waiter was very helpful and attentive to our needs. I will be back again  to try some other thins that looked so good passing our table. a bit of a hike from sayville, but surely worth the drive..  Everything about this place deserves a 5 star rating

This is my revised review for Drifters.   I have been here many times and yes, the wait is sometimes really crazy.  So my husband and I went last week with another couple for a late lunch/early dinner.  We were seated right away and our server came over as soon as we sat down.  It turned out that she was also tending bar, but she was so great that we never waited for anything.   The drinks here are absolutely delicious! My favorite is the Jalapeno Margarita, and they really are the best here!  I order them almost every time I go out,  but no one makes them like the bartenders at Drifters! The food is also always great, and I ordered  the same thing I usually order here, which is the Quinoa shrimp wrap, because it is so delicious! I did taste what everyone else ordered too, and it was also awesome!  The coconut shrimp app was amazing, and so were the wings.  The restaurant wasn't that crowded when we got there, but when we left around 4:00, more people started coming in.  I think everyone knows to get there early.   The only down side of going out this early is that once you start having a cou...
