Grove Steakhouse in Alpine

Inside the Viejas Resort, really amazing steak house. Service was on point, our server Joseph was excellent and very professional. Wine prices are really reasonable, had a nice '15 French Sauv Blanc and really enjoyed that. Rib eye steak was OUT OF THIS WORLD! Tender, cooked perfectly, just all around an absolutely delicious piece of meat. Crab legs we're also fantastic, good portion too. We had a side of lobster Mac, our only comment was it really needed some more lobster pieces in it, but otherwise was delicious. Anniversary dessert was a nice touch and starting with amuse and then courses separated by an intermezzo, classic. We absolutely will be returning here!

My partner and i contracted covid from this establishment! I will be contacting the cdc and will be contacting the restaurant soon. Im just feeling better but its been a roller coaster. We've always enjoyed eating at The Grove Steakhouse and this time was no different.  The service here was very accommodating and they make you feel so special.   We started off with a wedge salad which we split. The presentation was fantastic and flavor was great, but the lettuce portion size was just a touch on the small side.  Maybe they ran out of iceberg lettuce?  I'm not sure. The breads always come out hot and fresh. They had three different types of spreads including rosemary and salted butters and hummus, with three different types of breads (brioche with poppy seeds, mini french baguette and grain roll). For our main entree we both ordered the short ribs. Sadly, the short ribs were inedible, as they were tough and chewy.  Short ribs should be tender and melt in your mouth.
