Amazingly friendly staff, the food I had was pretty good, sauerkruat, potatoes, and a couple kinds of wurst. The desert was awesome though, first time I've had desert waffles. The beer was also a pretty high point, I really enjoyed the amber.

A true German experience! Food was authentic and very good.

Having lived in Germany three times for 9 years, I'm always looking for good German style restaurants. My son in law suggested we try the Old Stein Inn, even though it's a bit of a drive from us. The restaurant has a lot of authentic appearing decor and even has a nice outdoor Biergarten. We dined in due to the weather. Service was good and we enjoyed landjaeger and pretzel for appetizers. Food was very good, and I had a jaegerschnitzel with red cabbage and spaetzel. Schnitzel was a little thick but good. They have a big selenocysteine imported German beers. Overall, it was a good experience and I'd recommend it and plan to visit when I need my German food fix!
