My favorite dishes are definitely the brisket and the Texas Twinkies. Both have phenomenal flavor! Never in my life have I enjoyed eating all the fat off the brisket! It just melted in my mouth! Twinkies are delicious and I would definitely upvote making them a little spicier! Don't make the same mistake I did and check your food when you get home. Check your food before you leave, one time I got jipped after I tried to order two orders of Texas twinkies and only received four total. (Rather than two sets of three)

Since relocating here from Texas, I had given up on ever finding good BBQ here. I'm a long time meat smoker, and admit to being very judgmental about BBQ. This weekend I decided to try RNJ Smoked Meats, and I'm so glad I did! It's a long drive from my home, but well worth the drive. I got a variety of items - pork ribs, pulled pork, macaroni and cheese, six Texas Twinkie's, coleslaw, cream corn muffins, and smoked peach & pecan cobbler. We weren't fond of the smoke flavor on the cobbler but other than that, the food was very good! The bark on the ribs was excellent, both in texture and taste. I ended up eating them without sauce because I liked the bark so much. The pulled pork had a delicious smoked flavor. The Kansas City sauce is sweet and delicious. We made pulled pork tacos and they were delicious. If you don't think there's any good BBQ here I urge you to try RNJ. I know I'll be making the long drive back soon.
