Someone in my family eats here at least once a week. The owner neck is really nice. They have nice specials everyday Is along with specialty soups. You can get breakfast anytime the omelets are really good and large. There is a nice variety of sandwiches, salad's, Italian dishes, steaks, and fish. The only negative is that sometimes they do not have enough help.Dinner prices are more expensive for lunch and you get the same thing so I don't like that.Very family friendly and a very clean restaurant.

Traveling on Mother's Day and searching for a pancake with a picky eater. Just a pancake. By the time we got the Highway Restaurant we were starving and it was afternoon. The parking lot was packed! I thought that was a good sign for the quality of food but I was worried about the wait. Went in and most of the tables were full. Lots of elderly people and some farmers. Also a good sign. The verdict: the food was good with large portions and low prices. The waitresses were very nice and friendly. A random costumer wished me a Happy Mother's Day. One negative, the food seemed sloppily prepared. We got eggs on top of the pancake even though we didn't order that. The ribeye steak sandwich had a steak big enough to eat on it's own but one side was cooked more than the other. I am guessing the cook was as tired as the waitresses. If in the area I would go back. It appeared some food is made on site so it would be best to pick the waitresses brains on what to order.
