Niner's in Richmond

My Experience :-(. If it were the first time I have been disappointed, I would not write. But. . . tonight after placing order, sat down and my arm stuck to the table top, it was so sticky. Then came my potato. It was larger than usual. YAY. But upon nearly finishing the inside of the potato, some of the skin was on my fork. It was like it had been rolled in the dirt and put in the oven. GRIT GALORE! Oh yuk. That was it! The cooks are Hispanic with baseball caps speaking all the time in their language while cooking. I just don't think they are conscientious, clean people in the kitchen. Actually, years ago I saw a woman cleaning the Niner's ladies bathroom wiping down the counters. When she came out, she used the same rag on the table tops. I waited a long time before returning. But we are desperate for restaurants here in the Pecan Grove area. I weakened. Come on Niner's. . . clean up your act!

BLT without bacon? Humm. Did you ever have a night when no one wanted to fix dinner? We just had one of those nights, so my husband went to the 49er's in Richmond and ordered 2 BLT's with mayo to go.Because I just had major surgery and looking forward to a "comfort food" (nothing like bacon to do the trick) I open my sandwich first and much to my dismay found NO bacon and my husband open his and had the same result. We called the restaurant to see if they just forgot the bacon, but all we got was "sorry, have a goodnight". Paid for BLT got LT sandwich. Needless to say we will not grace their restaurant again.
