NY Chicken and Rice is definitely one of Glen Cove's hidden gems. The quality of the food is one the best I've seen when it comes to NYC street cart style chicken and rice. Their sauces taste very authentic and give the platters that extra kick. The falafel is by far the best falafel I have tried. Besides typical NYC halal truck style food, they also have other options such as buffalo chicken and fried chicken bites. Their portions are great for the money and are very filling. The restaurant is very clean, trendy, and has a generally good vibe. The staff is a super friendly. They have pretty good deals on the food including a nighttime special and a student discount. Overall, this place gives larger chains such as Shah's Halal and The Halal Guys a run for their money.
