Good omelette. Burger is a little bland.

Really disappointing experience. My partner and I were both eager to try Olmstead for brunch, which we did today. When asked for recommendations, the waitress assured us that everything was amazing so we ended up getting the Toad in the Hole, the Complete Breakfast Sandwich, and a side of the Brioche French Toast to try. Ultimately, the food was very mediocre (and 80% potatoes ... who eats that many potatoes??) but what truly put us off was the service. We saw our waitress exactly twice— when she came to take our order, and when we finally managed to get her attention so we could pay and leave. We would have both loved a refill on our coffee ($4 per mug isn't cheap, either) but by the time the waitress finally came over, we'd been finished with our meals for ages and were just looking to leave. A real shame.

I've been wanting to try Olmstead for a while now, and I'm so happy we were able to stop by. I was pleasantly surprised by the decor and greenery inside - we sat in the atrium/patio area, which is actually indoors. Everything is so stinkin' cute! I had the fried chicken sandwich with a green salad. The chicken was moist and flavorful and the portions are huge. Cocktails are very nicely garnished and well thought out. I'd love to come back for brunch to see the atrium in the daylight!
