I consider all the food service options from the students and staff at the Seattle Culinary Academy to be treasures! There is a fantastic coffee and baked goods shop, The Buzz (located just inside the main doors to Seattle Central College off Broadway), a wonderful fine dining experience, One World (located inside the main entrance, to the right, and then left through the atrium), and a delicious fast casual food option, Square One Bistro (located just before One World). I recently had lunch at One World with a friend who works at the Seattle Colleges and we were so excited to try it! After reading about it in the Seattle Stranger I knew I had to experience this restaurant. The overall experience was excellent- from the service upon entering to our leaving, we were always cared for and waited on with courtesy and excellence. The food menu was difficult to choose from because everything sounded delicious! The menu changes fairly frequently featuring different cuisines around the world. We were lucky enough to be dining during a Oaxacan-themed menu and I had the most amazing duck breast in Molé sauce (amazing)! We had table side guacamole which was so cool, and this incredible squash soup with a Chile relleno. My friend had halibut that was perfectly cooked, and a delicious salad. Unfortunately this restaurant is only open from mid January to March 20 each year and only for lunch. If you are ever around Capitol Hill for lunch, do yourself a favor and enjoy a meal at this or any of the other food options offered by the Seattle Culinary Academy! The food is amazing and it supports the students of Seattle Colleges...

We loved this place. The food was phenomenal and the service was great. You get a lot for a reasonable amount of $. I ordered a appetizer which was a fennel slaw with crab. So good and refreshing. For my main i ordered the salmon and it also came with a appetizer soup. The soup was the best soup I've ever had. And the salmon was cooked perfectly. We were very pleased and will be back again.

this is the best kept secret in Seattle. Its located in capital hill, the service and food are amazing. tough to find a parking spot, and they DO ticket you there. We have tried the sit down One World restaurant , as well as the square one lunch place. both are great.
