We had the opportunity to experience this café and it was a great experience. The wait staff was pleasant; extremely pleasant. The food was delicious with a DD. We really enjoyed this place. We've loved the Valley Hotel Open Cafe for years. Recent changes have put in on our NEVER AGAIN list. 1) they've installed giant TVs blaring Fox News and ONE America News. There isn't a seat in the house that you can get that doesn't have a TV in your face. It's got closed captioning on, and the ugly propaganda machine is constant. 2) Small plate sizes, increased prices. Burgers used to 10-11 dollars and served on regular plate size. Now burgers are more like 13-15 dollars and come on salad plates. The burger sits on top of fries so you really can hardly put it down to wipe your hands or take a drink. As a family, we like to go to local restaurants that we know support our community but we feel like the 60-80 bucks it costs to go there can be spent in a better locally owned spot. We've been longtime customers; we hoped the TVs would go away, they appear as if they are there to stay.
