On Friday, August 6, 2021, I went to Panera Bread to get my Birthday Gift. Because, when you join Panera Bread and put your Birthday date they will send you an email to get your free dessert. You can just give them your phone number you register under, your name and your good to go.I picked the Pecan Braid. I was so disappointed because they didn’t have the pecan roll anymore. I loved that dessert. It was so full of pecans, right amount of sweetness and stickiness. I would always eat half and save the other for another day. I do hope that Panera Bread would bring it back by emailing the customers and asking them to vote on bringing the pecan roll back.However, even though the pecan braid isn’t as large in shape and doesn’t have a lot of pecans it’s still very good. It wasn’t hard, but the dough was flaky, soft on the inside with a slight crunchiness,and it was just right in sweetness. I wished I had purchased one to go along with my Free Birthday Dessert. I give it 4 stars but if they added more pecans and make it a little longer it would differently improve it to a 5 star dessert.
