The service was great. This is the second time I’ve eaten at Pappadeaux seafood and the food was salty. Prices have definitely gone up even at the lunch hour. The food was too salty and spicy. The shrimp étouffée was just a salty, brown gravy with shrimp swimming in it. The dirty rice was too salty and so was the catfish. I usually order the creme brûlée but the price has increased drastically so I didn’t bother to order it this time. Sad to say, Pappadeaux has always been one of my favorite restaurants to go but it’s not anymore.

I was posting my reviews on Yelp along with commenting on others reviews and I got hungry. I was not too happy with my entree selection last visit so I'm back. As I also mentioned in my last post that my server (Jada) rudely left me without a word and no one to attend to me after she finished her shift. Zipp gone, the oyster guy looking at me like....Uhhh?? And guess what, she's my server today. I casually reminded her of our last encounter and she apologized. She mentioned she was not from here and never worked for the chain. I was thinking in my mind, Boo you don't don't that here, this is Pappas chain of restaurants, we the people EXPECT 5 star food and 5 star service, and in return we pay $$$ and TIP $$$, okaay. My visit today was scrumptious...

[4.25 stars] I was introduced to Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen over twelve years ago, at their original Westheimer downtown location. When our business lunch was suggested for their Westchase location, I was thrilled. Pappadeaux has seen me in their Phoenix, Bush Intercontinental Airport and original locations, and their fried oysters and other goodies are always welcomed. Our group of seven were seated during a very crowded lunchtime rush. The crowds, however, didn't hinder service or confuse our waiter. Everybody in our group seemed to have their particular favorites from the menu, and there were looks of contentment on all faces. Pappadeaux isn't the cheapest lunchtime (or dinner) option, but is one that I would gladly select whenever a location is near. Their product is always fresh, very well prepared and professionally served. Perhaps the service staff isn't as gregarious as in other eateries, but at Pappadeaux outstanding food and fun conversation provide more than enough entertainment.
