Looking for some Tex Mex food my colleague suggested we give this place a try. He has been here before but for me this was my first visit. There's a nice authentic look to the restaurant dining room. The people that work there are amazing. The business owner posts fraudulent photos. Here's my $20 (with tip) nachos.

In all candor, I tend to avoid Pappasito's Cantina because of the salsa. The food though is really good, and even the airport version gets there. The cheese enchiladas are better than most Tex-Mex joints around. Beans are smoky without being greasy -- phenomenal. Rice is firm and lightly seasoned. Excellent. The queso here is also pretty darn good. Service at this place was excellent on our visit. But Pappasito's salsa? Not only do I find it to be bland, they serve it warm. In fact, Pappasito's warm salsa started a movement years ago, and salsas at various restaurants have gone downhill since. But I digress. The thing is, Pappasito's Cantina, even with its limited airport menu, is an excellent place to dine when leaving Tex-Mex country.
