Wow. From the music to the service to the food (oh, those sweet plantains). My waistline will not approve of this but I will definitely be making Paradita one of my go-to spots!

Walking by, the food smelled really good and this seemed to be a pretty popular lunch spot so my boyfriend and I checked it out. He's been wanting to have me try lomo saltado, so we thought this was a good opportunity and the cashier also recommended it (lomito al jugo). Unfortunately, the small portion just is not worth the price for this dish ($18, though their menu hasn't been updated and said $16.) There was one handful of fries, and most of the serving we got was rice. The meat/sauce/tomatoes were good but honestly was not filling at all and I wouldn't recommend this dish- maybe other entrees here have bigger portions!

Paradita Eatery is open during the pandemic! Outdoor dining is available! Our host, Juan, is very kind and greeted us right away! He immediately offered me the free Blue Moon after checking in on Yelp. Food looks delicious and is very colorful. My favorite dish is the pork belly fried rice- super flavorful with every bite! My husband loves the cheesy empanada! They also have an amazing happy hour list! Super good chicken wings for $6. Definitely worth trying if you are around the Emeryville area. Fun Fact: Check in on Yelp for a free bottle of beer!
