Wasn’t really wowed by anything here when I went August 2021. Felt like service took forever, maybe because we were seated outdoors instead of indoors. For example, food took 30 minutes, and we often just had an empty water bottle or dirty plates in front of us. Every other bottle of tap water also had a terrible metallic taste (literally 3 out of 5 bottles). The food was okay. I didn’t like the pickled asparagus in my Short Rib dish, but my friend liked the smoky mac and cheese. As some people hinted, the portions were not huge. For dessert, I got the bread pudding, but it was barely moist and felt more like toast. The candied bacon on top did not contain an iota of sweetness, and again was more like regular salty hardened bacon.

Parish NW makes incredible Cajun food. While Cajun food can often be heavy, everything at Parish NW was fresh and delicious. I will be dreaming of the Étouffée forevermore. The broth was perfectly seasoned and rich. The crab and shrimp were so fresh. The Shrimp and Grits were incredibly tasty: the grits smooth, and the shrimp perfectly cooked. The sausage added a nice smokiness. While the beignets were slightly over cooked, the fresh vanilla bean whipped cream was stupendous. I want to bathe in it. One of my favorite meals I’ve had in Seattle and beyond.
