Sorry to hear they closed. I only went once but we all loved the place. I think the location was the major problem. I hope they resurface.

Pete's pies is indeed a hidden gem right downtown! The best part about my experience was the meat pie. They sure have that part figured out. The food was great! However, the draft beer selection was small than I'd expect for a place in Asheville, and the service was mediocre. We were waited on, and got what we wanted, but as soon as they could dive their noses back into their cell phones, the bartender and other waitstaff tuned out. Too bad cell phones aren't banned during work, as being ignored really detracts from the experience. I did enjoy that the TV's were on a horse show jumping competition, a nice change from the ordinary. Also, the outdoor space looks nice, for when weather improves. I'll go back, but will hope for a better experience.
