This place is always very good. The staff is very helpful and friendly from the moment you sit down till checkout. Fresh ingredients and very good hot food. Only con is the prices have gone up for past two years. Besides that, love stopping by for lunch and dinner here; I'm a regular.With that said, I wouldn't listen to reviews from "local guides", like "Nancy Estrada" saying this place isn't authentic. They're well-known for their seasoned beef but their other kinds of meat are also good too. Yummy pho!!

Yes, it's generally pretty far from downtown. But if you're near IAH and you just got off of an international flight (and pho is always a priority in my case... )I highly recommend taking the minor detour to get pho at Pho Dien 1960. Family-owned, and you get seated immediately. The broth is flavorful and not heavy, and they do NOT skimp on meat. When I get the tendon pho, they give a lot of tendon. I can see why Pho Dien has been an institution in Houston for so long.
