Pho Viet Express in Arcadia

I've gone to this place multiple times and finally ready to give a proper review. Their pho is some of the best in town! Broth is well seasoned, meat is all perfect and the noodles are just right. Now here's the downside. Everything else is pretty bad. The egg rolls and spring rolls were terrible! The egg rolls were frozen in the middle and no flavor. Spring rolls also zero flavor. The noodle soup turned my stomach. It's the bone broth for the pho BUT with zero seasoning what so ever. The meat is just overcooked pho meat so it was tough. And the noodles were kinda gummy. Basically only get their pho, everything else is bad.

We wanted to order things. The owner said she isn't open until 11 which is reasonable. After waiting 30 mins, came back at 11 in which she said. We don't have such thing that I was ordering as it was advertised as new. And i was going to order coffee in which her response was. I don't have that today no shift. I am by myself ?? If you want coffee she pointed at the bakery! Epic fail. We so wanted to try but since we couldn't even try and the owner is a little rude now am hesitant to try

I decided to give this place in the H Mart food court a try. I've tried all the other stalls in the food court, and liked all of them, especially Sogongdong. Although there are a lot of Vietnamese restaurants in the San Gabriel Valley, this is one of the few I know that serves beef noodle soup. That's what I ended up ordering, the Taiwanese beef noodle soup. The broth is very rich, but the beef is the best part of the whole dish. The beef is incredibly tender. The noodles and the broth are good, but the beef was super tender, melt-in-your-mouth type of texture. One does not really think of ordering Taiwanese style dishes in a restaurant named Pho Viet Express, but this restaurant definitely delivers on quality.
