My friend and I dropped by Pie Bar at 10pm and ordered a slice of the Deserted Island to-go. We then shared it at Cal Anderson park, which is a short walk away. Overall, I thought that the pie was decent at best. Although I did enjoy the fact that it was freshly made and served hot, some parts of the streusel felt like I was eating chunks of sugar. The crumble's consistency was off, since some bites were chewy while others were crunchy. The pie itself was also a tad too sweet for my liking. There was likely too much added sugar, which overpowered the natural tartness of the marionberries, raspberries, and strawberries.

I have had this place bookmarked after many positive experiences from friends and coworkers when they went before covid, and found that they were now open for dine-in! However, I had the worst dining experience here in all the places I have eaten in Seattle over the past year. The entrance didn't really give much of a first impression since it's walled off so we almost thought it was closed besides a piece of paper on the window saying dine-in is open, and dine-in is 21+ so we had to wait for someone to card us to let us in. (Everyone can order to-go). We got seated and ordered the Desserted Island because it has a little bit of every fruit; good for sharing. Not the best presentation but the fruits are quite sweet and the ice cream balances well with the warm pie. The crust is decent for the most part. Keep in mind there are just 3 drinks on the menu. I asked if they still had pie-tini with the famous pie crumb instead of sugar on the side of the cup / the popular pictured drinks of that sort but there wasn't. He didn't come back at all to check on us if I ended up wanting to order one of the 3 drinks on the menu, so it felt like he has some bias against us to begin with and didn't really want to serve us... Things started going downhill when we felt a little rushed since someone came and asked us to pay (I di...

BEWARE: We found this place after our dinner and wanted to check it out due to good reviews. The pie and drinks were  going well when suddenly we noticed a bitter bite from the pie but thought nothing of it. We paid for our meal and asked about it afterwards. The bartender gentleman said that it's normal for the crust to be burnt on a pie. Afterwards we were still waiting for our ride several minutes later when the same gentlemen came back and asked us to leave because the we were the "rudest people he heard all week". We just said "ok" left without any resistance. None of party member said anything negative after he told us it was burnt nor did we ask for any form of discount and/or compensation. Keep in mind we asked about it AFTER we paid. I wasn't going to write about the pie but the attitude of how we were asked to leave left a seriously bad taste in mouth.
