The food here never disappoints, and the service is impeccable without being intrusive. This pizza with artichoke hearts, sun-dried tomatoes, kalamata olives, ricotta, pepperocini, and garlic was amazing! >^..^

In town to see Fannie at Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Katie and I had been wanting Italian all day, and in the past Pie + Vine has been a decent place to patron. This will be our last time. When we called to make a reservation, the phone rang for 7 minutes before anyone answered, then when someone did answer they put the phone down on the counter for 2 minutes before picking up again. No "Hello," no "Sorry for the wait," just "Pie + Vine." I blame myself. The warning shot was clear: don't come here. But we did. Katie ordered the mushroom fettuccini, I ordered the bolognese. My girl and I have been coming to Ashland for 10 years straight, and I must say, this was the worst meal we've ever had in this chic little college town. Our dinner tasted like it had been pre-packaged and heated in a microwave. When our server ultimately came by to ask how everything tasted, I told her, "Both plates taste like the chef has given up. If it weren't for the gas station sushi down the road, your kitchen would be the worst in town." Unsure what to say, the server walked away. I asked another server to have a manager stop by our table but no one came around. Katie paid the bill and we left. Outside, this lovely, older c...
