Pine Forest Garden in Houston

Where do I even begin....great vegan food just like how they do it in Asia. We were visiting Houston for a week and bookmarked this restaurant to try. Glad we did. So good that we went there 2 days in a row. At $18+ pp for the buffet, it is definitely a steal. We couldn't find anything we didn't like. They even offer fresh soy milk as part of the buffet. Must try the red bean soup. It's really good. I like how clean they keep their buffet line and restaurant. Food is piping hot and they constantly refill the items. Some Yelpers commented that the food is bland but we didn't find that to be an issue at all. This is a very old school Asian Buddhist Vegetarian restaurant and I am glad they preserve the cooking methods here. The only other restaurant in the States similar to this is in SF. Definitely a gem and I can't wait till we move to Houston later this year. Will definitely make a weekly visit to this restaurant.

the buffet section is interesting to look at, presentation is key but taste is key, i love there eggs rolls delicious!! w the peanut sauce is killer . everything else i’ve tried and they are tasty and all that is plant base wow (vegan) buffet. the interior design is different than expected when i finally gotten to try this place. not fine dinning but still excellent good foods.

Everything tastes so good. I've been eating more plant based food and I would highly recommend Pine Forest Garden to anyone no matter what you eat normally. Besides how great everything tastes, it's not too expensive and the entire staff went well out of their way to help us get some dinner to go even though they were completely closed up and everything clean. No one was in a hurry to set an alarm and get home. They treated us like it was more important for us to have something to eat. They pulled out every dish from their fridge and let us get our food to go. Now, we thought they closed later. I wouldn't want to do that to anyone working hard right now. So I recommend going before they close and enjoying the whole experience. The food though was mind blowing tasty and felt so much better after eating it!
