Not the best food for your money. Also, I had a poor costumer service experience where I thought I could pay for an item with swipes only to find out I couldn’t. No problem, so of course I tried to hand it over to the employees, but they told me I had to pay for it because I touched the box(I did not touch or alter the food inside the box). To my knowledge, there isn’t an obvious sign or indicator to say that if you touch it-you buy it, and even then that would still be crazy. After speaking to someone in charge, I was able to leave without paying for it; although, it sucks that food was wasted.

Worst customer service ever. The 3 other students who were in front of me tested the boxes and the cashier didn’t call on them. Until my turn, I just touched it and the cashier told me I have to take the food. Didn’t even see the sign that warned customer. Treated customers unfairly. Nasty attitude!

The main redeeming quality of Pizza Hut Express is it's speed—it will literally take you longer to fill your cup at the Pepsi Spire than it will for them to give you food! It is also open all the time and available on the VCU Dining Plan for swipes, which is required for most freshmen. If you're looking for pizza, you're better off choosing a nearby off-plan location instead—Christian's, Aladdin's, Papa John's, and even Dominoes can all do a much better job than this Pizza Hut Express. The pizzas are premade and extremely greasy—I only ever found the cheese pizza tolerable due to the utter mess of grease the pepperoni added. However, they also serve pastas here which aren't too bad.The employees tend to never say anything and simply motion for your card—I have neither positive nor negative thoughts on them. It should be noted that they are supervised by Aramark, as many of the dining locations in University Student Commons are.The final verdict: it's okay if you know how to purpose it. Come here when you only have 20 mins between classes and need more than a snack from POD Market. Don't come here for a real meal.
