Always enjoyed coming here when I worked in the area. Thought that Yelp's Big Night In would be a good reason to get take out from them. We weren't disappointed at all. We ordered our usual, rotisserie chicken, fried cassava, and sweet plantains. It was just as good as I remembered. This is a great place to get a meal to go during the pandemic shut down.

I was very disappointed with  my experience at Pollo Bravo. I read where someone reviewed this place and stated that they have the best chicken in all of Houston. An egregious claim. Nonetheless, I figured the chicken would be something pretty special. I decided to try it out for myself. I ordered 1/4 chicken with fries and plantains. I was the only person in the place and figured that the food should come out pretty quickly, but it did not. I attribute the wait to the fact that they were cooking the fries (I guess). I got my food To Go. Food came out nicely packaged and tied up in a bag. I checked to make sure everything was there and skedaddled home. Upon arriving home, I sadly discovered that my chicken (the chicken that was supposed to be basically famous) was OVERCOOKED, dry, and inedible. I was so disappointed. Fries were nice and hot and were very good. Plantains were good...normal, but good. I could not eat the chicken and was so frustrated. I called Pollo Bravo up and explained what they had given me. I was told to come back to the restaurant and they would replace it for me. I drove the 15 minutes there and had to WAIT another 10 minutes before I was given some acceptable chicken. I was given an apology, but nothing else. I feel that I could have go...
