I finally got a chance to go to Pompano Park with may wife for the harness racing and we had a great time. It was sad to see the old closed grandstand, but current facilities are very pleasant, we sat at a picnic table near the track, food truck was good, betting window could not be more convenient, weather was perfect for sitting outside, racing was very good (I used to go to frequent the races at Yonkers and Roosevelt Raceway so I know a bit about the sport), and to top it off my wife and I had the winner in 6 of 9 races.

This really is a hidden gem. Very good italian fare at modest prices make it a must do. Everything from their Caesar salad to their clams casino is very good. They are coming out with a new menu soon. Got to taste one of the new items -- gnocchi Gorgonzola -- creamy but not cloying. If you like blue cheese, you've got to try this one.
