Finally got a chicken sandwich. It was good. I still like Chick filet more. The roll is too big. I don't want mayo on it. The pickles are not as good. Popeyes never look as clean. Maybe it the lighting? The chicken breast is very good and I can see why is is popular. But iconic??? More ironic.

Finally tried a Popeye's Chicken Sandwich at the Aston location, and it was very good. I liked it better than Chick-fil-A. It was a crispy, tender, juicy damn near perfect chicken cutlet, all white meat chicken breast on a nice toasted bun. It normally comes with mayo or some sort of spicy sauce, but I asked for it plain, with the pickles. The pickles were the good deli pickles, sliced nice and thick. I got the combo w/fries, and the fries came in a box with enough for for two people, but I was so full after the sandwich I didn't touch the fries. I went to the drive-thru, and service was quick and pleasant.

When I'm in the mood for fast food chicken and I don't want to drive far, this is my go to! They may not always be friendly but they always get my order right and the food is tasty. Had my infamous chicken sandwich here before everyone lost their chicken minds! I'll be back!!!
