They used to be super fast. Now super slow at drive thru. Understaffed? Maybe it's the stimlus cheques?

We were craving fried chicken. We went to Popeye's in Lake Jackson around 7:30 p.m. My husband walked in and people were standing around waiting on "potatoes". This was the second time we've been here and they did not have food prepared and people were waiting and upset. We decided not to wait around. I give that location a 1 Star because they must have poor management and they do not have a drive through and this is the second time it's happened to us. We decided to drive to Anglelton to see if it was any better (after reading their reviews). We pulled up, there were 4 cars in front of us, placed our order, got to the window and paid and within a minute they were passing our food out to us. We drove home (15 min) and the food was still piping hot, crispy chicken and delicious sides. Also, the staff were very courteous and friendly. This will be our new "go to" spot for Fried Chicken. I will never give the Lake Jackson location another try.

They used old, disgusting chicken with black grime around the bones and insides. The Popeye's in Lake Jackson is MUCH better and has great food compared to this Angleton location. I've given this Angleton location so many chances in the past but this was their last chance. Don't waste your time or money here.
