Great joint! Gave a four, but hope to go back and upgrade to a five! I should have gotten one of their pastas or something different. Great atmosphere, service, price point and parking. Chickpeas, salads and desserts were awesome! We both ended up getting the veal. The veal was a little rubbery, but seasoned well. The risotto was also good, but did not match well with the veal. It had an anise flavor in it or something in that family. I would have loved it with poultry rather than breaded veal. Balloon bread and coconut cream pie are a MUST!!! Also buying a bottle (or more) of wine rather than by the glass.

I had no idea this place existed in my neighborhood but came here one time on a whim and will def be back. You can BYOW for $12 corkage fee. The ambiance is cozy and warm and there's apparently a large outdoor area too though we sat indoors. My fiance and I shared a salad, calmari, a pasta dish (truffle tagliatte), and tiramisu for dessert. The pasta dish was def our favorite, very rich but so good. The other dishes were fine but nothing you can't get anywhere else.

Francisco and Sal are who you need to recommend when visiting Porta'vino. The food was absolutely incredible and the wine was delicious. We will definitely be back. Sal has had us laughing the entire evening and every recommendation he made, was divine.
