Wow!!! This cute little place doesn't look like much from outside...but, it is absolutely fantastic!!! I was raised eating Cuban food and my mom's was the best...this brought me back to those amazing meals. My mom would have absolutely loved this place.

I ordered the mondongo with the fried Dominican chicken. The chicken was tasty but the monfongo was very dry. My husband ordered the fried snapper and it was burnt dry and smelled very fishy! We complained and was given a poor excuse that this is way the fish should be cooked. It was crispy black burnt. I may give this place a second chance but with so m...

Usually when I eat Dominican food i'm in New York but this time I was in Houston. I decided to look around the Houston area for a popular location. I saw on yelp that Punta Cana Caribbean Restaurant had a lot of reviews, many of them were positive so I decided to pay them a visit. When we entered, we were greeted by a waitress and led to our tables. First we started with drinks called Morir Sonando which was a drink made with orange and milk. It tasted so good! As an appetizer I ordered empanadas and it was topped with lettuce and dressing. It was crispy and tasted great! The main course meal was Mofongo de Bistec. The food by appearance looked very good. The dish tasted great and I was very satisfied with my selection. The staff was very attentive and made sure we were satisfied! I was able to chat with one of the workers and I told him how I found out about the restaurant. This will be my go to spot for Dominican food in Houston!
