Q Mama Seafood House offers an extensive menu of various fresh seafood dishes, and by fresh, I mean there's a large tank in the center of the restaurant where you can walk over to see the live fish/shellfish before you order. I thought this was a pretty cool concept. I happened to dine in during their 50% off special. Our party ordered the Stir-fried squid with salt and pepper, Grilled blood cockle, stir-fried soft shell crab with crispy garlic and chili, king do ribs, and some dish with battered fish with bitter melon slices. The best dish was hands down the soft shell crab with crispy garlic and chili, I would highly recommend trying it. Overall, the food was only OK. Although I liked the variety of seafood dishes the restaurant offers, the taste of the dishes were not extraordinary, and I felt like I could find similar and better tasting dishes at other Asian seafood restaurants. I do not see myself coming back to this restaurant and paying full price for these dishes, since the dishes would have been very expensive for what they were, had it not been for the 50% off deal. Not memorable enough to be worth the money.
