Small little shop, where I heard they had some of Seattle's best fried chicken. Had to stop in when I was in the area. It's a mini mart that has a chicken stall, kitchen in the back. There was just a bit left, but the lady said that they could cook anything I wanted and it would be ready in 7 minutes. I settled for the 2 legs, a thigh and breast to get a sampling. She bagged it and I bounced. Some time passed and I was able to look at what I got. I'd say this is more a Ezell's / Heaven Sent style of fried chicken. If you like that style of yardbird, you'd enjoy Quick Pack. As you can see, the size of the chicken itself is huge. I mean, almost comically big. Sourced from Jurassic Park maybe? Seasoning was similar to Ezell's, which I am not a die hard fan of. It's good and the fact you could get it hot are pluses, but I'd say you can stick to the other two places out of convenience, and they are more likely in a nicer part of town. Come and support these fine folks nonetheless!

First read about Quick Pack Food Mart from an article featured from the long gone Seattle Weekly: seattleweekly.com/food/t… Me and The Homie checked it out back on 11/4/18. We had no idea what to expect, but we walked inside this borderline sketchy spot. Wow, ordered, paid up, and walked out with a sack of fried chicken. We didn't even bother driving it home or eating in the car. At the corner of MLK Way and S Jackson, we started digging in the sack of fragrant, crisp fried chicken in the parking lot. Fried chicken on the car trunk. No frills, no sauce, no secret spices...just damn fine fried chicken. Between the two of us, we've probably consumed an entire chicken farm over the years, lol. We spread the culinary chicken dollars all over the city at various indie spots like Wing Dome, Ba Bar, Mangosteen, Bok a Bok, Heaven Sent, Brothers and Sisters, S/T Hooligans, and Cookie's Country Chicken. Heck even a sale bag from Safeway's deli will do. I revisited Quick Pack Food Mart after stopping by nearby Temple Pastries on 5/9/21 as part of a low key Mother's Day Sunday wandering drive. The same folks were behind the counter. Honestly, I have no idea what else they sell at their business. All I know is that I made a socially distanced beeline to the deli display case at the front counter. This time it was for an order of 7 chicken wings (=14 wings elsewhere) for a little over $16 with an extra charge for using a debit card. Pleasant service and received well wishes for Mother's Day. Meandered from the Central District to University...
