I got the carnitas fries and my husband got the California burrito. We both agreed the fries were tasteless and wildly undercooked, despite being plenty soft -- I strongly suspect they were frozen. A shame, because most everything else in my dish was good. Delicious crema and meat. The guac was bland, though.

Don’t order the burrito. When you pay $17 for a burrito you’re hoping for something kind of special. What I got was DRY and BLAND. A tiny smear of guacamole, undetectable cream, and all rice with meat. I want to like this place, but geeze guys…. You need to put in some beans, maybe sautéed onion and peppers, and tasty salsa with some flavors of lime cilantro and chile to balance out the dryness from rice and meat. Use less rice! The novelty fries inside didn’t help either, I actually wish I could take that burrito back out of me. Should have ordered something else I guess because there’s so many great reviews.

That's why I was immediately drawn to the California burrito. The Caifornia burrito is classically composed of carne asada, guacamole, pico de gallo, cheese and french fries. The California burrito on their menu is braised pork, cilantro, avocado, rice, and fries. The only thing that would make this a California burrito is the inclusion of fries. Everything else creates another burrito entirely. However, Raiz has good reviews so I trusted that the burrito...
