Always a solid performance by the staff at Rancho Viejo. Very friendly and polite servers that are on point and on time deliver food hot off grill. Food is consistently flavorful, ample portions (I work construction and have a high metabolism and I always leave with a full belly) prices are very fair, atmosphere is always light with lively music in the background. I have a playlist of about 8 different restaurants that I generally frequent in Alexandria, Mn. Rancho Viejo is always in the mix.

O!M!G! LK! This place is a hidden gem! Nestled between Holiday & Hardee's in Alexandria, MN, this sit-down, family owned restaurant is a flavorful delicacy. You need this in your life & will not be disappointed! Your day/week will be complete once you dine here. Chips & salsa are best I've ever had in my life. I did a combo - chicken chili, Chile Relleno, and taco. My husband got the California Burrito. So delicious! Staff is amazing- compliments to the chef!!

The complimentary salsa is mild ( i prefer hot) but very fresh and flavorful, the tacos and various deserts are fantastic. If i had to nitpick it would be that a couple times I have asked for my plain cheese quesadilla (online and over the phone) to be extra crispy but is not crispy at all. When i had it extra crispy one time without asking (so maybe by accident) it was sooooooo delicious. Also when I received my order through food dudes it was lukewarm at best. Granted it was an hour before it was delivered to me but if both the delivery driver and restaurant keep it warm in insulated hot bags I think it would be a tremendous help.
